Acceptance

By accessing or using Meloman (including via the Telegram Mini App or the iOS/Android mobile app), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Description of Service

Meloman is a music quiz game available as a Telegram Mini App - where players authenticate via Telegram - and as a native mobile app for iOS and Android. A short audio clip plays and you have one shot to name the track. The game offers three modes: Timer (race the clock), Lives (survive on hearts), and Duels (real-time 1v1 multiplayer). Players choose Easy or Hard difficulty and can enable Instrumental Mode to guess by melody alone. Additional features include a global leaderboard with filters, achievements with progress tracking, post-game track review, author profiles for curated albums, and optional audio downloads for smooth offline playback. No account is required - profiles are auto-generated.

Difficulty Modes

Meloman offers Easy and Hard difficulty for singleplayer and multiplayer. Easy mode presents random wrong answers. Hard mode fills the choices with other songs from the same artist, making it much harder to guess by elimination. Leaderboards are separated by difficulty to ensure fair competition. We reserve the right to adjust difficulty parameters and leaderboard structure at any time.

Instrumental Mode

Instrumental Mode lets players guess songs based on the melody alone with vocals removed. This mode is available for compatible albums and can be combined with difficulty settings. Instrumental mode games are tracked separately in statistics and leaderboards.

Achievements

Meloman tracks gameplay statistics - including games played, correct answers, combo streaks, difficulty mode, instrumental mode usage, and per-album play and accuracy counts - to power an in-game achievements system. Achievements are tied to your account and stored on our servers. Progress toward achievements (such as album play milestones) is displayed in-game. We reserve the right to add, modify, or remove achievements at any time.

Leaderboards

Meloman features global leaderboards filterable by time period (weekly, monthly, all-time), difficulty (Easy/Hard), and instrumental mode. Your username and score are publicly visible on leaderboards. We reserve the right to remove or adjust scores obtained through unauthorized means.

Duels (1v1 Multiplayer)

Duels is a real-time 1v1 mode where two players compete to identify songs faster and more accurately than each other. One player creates a room and configures the game (album selection, difficulty, instrumental mode, and a win target of 40, 60, 80, or 100 points); the other player joins via a public lobby or a private 6-character room code. Each round, both players hear the same audio clip simultaneously and choose from four options. A correct answer earns points based on speed; a correct but very slow answer or an incorrect answer earns zero. The first player to reach the win target wins the duel.

Either player may forfeit at any time, which immediately ends the game and awards the win to the remaining player. If a player disconnects unexpectedly, the game ends and the connected player is declared the winner. We reserve the right to adjust scoring rules, win targets, and matchmaking logic at any time.

Author Profiles

Some albums in Meloman are curated by well-known public figures. Tapping an author name opens a profile page with publicly available information about that person. We do not collect or store any data about users who view author profiles.

Post-Game Track Review

After each game you can review all tracks that were played and replay any clip. This history is tied to your session and stored on our servers as part of your gameplay record. It is subject to the same data retention policy as all other game data.

Push Notifications

Meloman may send you notifications through two channels:

• Mobile App (iOS/Android) - push notifications via Firebase Cloud Messaging. The app will request permission before sending notifications. You can withdraw permission at any time in your device settings.
• Telegram Mini App - notifications sent by the Meloman Telegram bot directly to your Telegram account. You can stop notifications by blocking or muting the bot in Telegram.

Notifications are used solely for in-app events such as coin credits.

Rewarded Ads

The mobile app offers optional rewarded video ads served by Google AdMob. Watching an ad is entirely voluntary and grants in-game coins as a reward. By choosing to watch an ad you acknowledge that Google's ad policies and data practices apply to that interaction. We do not control the content of third-party advertisements.

Coin System

Meloman includes a virtual currency system ("Coins"). Coins can be earned through gameplay or purchased with real money via Apple or Google in-app purchases (mobile app) or Telegram Stars (Telegram Mini App). All purchases are final and subject to the refund policies of the platform where the purchase was made. Virtual Coins have no cash value and are non-transferable. Coins cannot be exchanged for real money, goods, or services outside of the Meloman platform. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Coin system at any time.

In-App Purchases

In-app purchases on iOS are processed by Apple; purchases on Android are processed by Google; purchases in the Telegram Mini App are processed by Telegram using Telegram Stars. We do not store payment card or Stars wallet information. All billing is handled entirely by the respective platform. To request a refund, follow the refund process of the App Store, Google Play, or Telegram where the purchase was made.

User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use cheats, exploits, or automated tools to gain unfair advantages
• Attempt to reverse-engineer or modify the game
• Harass other players or use the platform for harmful purposes
• Circumvent any security measures

Intellectual Property

Music clips used in Meloman are provided for quiz and educational purposes under applicable fair use provisions. All trademarks, logos, and game content are the property of their respective owners. User-generated game scores and usernames remain the property of the respective users.

Disclaimers

Meloman is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service availability. Game data, including scores and coin balances, may be lost due to technical issues.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Meloman and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including loss of virtual currency or game progress.
