Privacy Policy

Data We Collect

The data we collect depends on how you access Meloman:

• Telegram Mini App - Telegram user ID, Telegram username (if public), Telegram display language
• Mobile App (iOS/Android) - Anonymous device identifier (UUID), auto-generated music-themed display name, device language

On both platforms we also collect:

• Game scores and performance history
• Gameplay statistics - games played, correct answers, combo streaks, difficulty mode (Easy or Hard), instrumental mode usage, per-album play and correct-answer counts, and duel statistics (duels played, wins, forfeits) - used to power the achievements system and leaderboards
• During a Duel session, your opponent's display name and profile photo are shared with you solely to show who you are playing against. This information is not stored beyond the session.
• Achievement unlock history and progress toward each badge
• Played track history (the list of songs from each completed game, used to power the post-game review feature)
• In-app coin balance and transaction history
• In-app purchase receipts (processed by Apple or Google)
• Preferred language setting, synced from your device or Telegram account and stored on our servers
• Audio files downloaded to your device for smooth, interruption-free playback (stored locally, never uploaded)
• Profile photo - only if you explicitly upload one or choose to import your Telegram profile photo
• Mobile App only (with your permission) - Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) device token, used solely to deliver push notifications on iOS and Android
• Telegram Mini App only - notifications are delivered via the Meloman Telegram bot to your Telegram account. No additional token is stored; delivery uses your Telegram user ID already collected at login

How We Use Data

We use collected data solely to operate and improve the Meloman game experience: running leaderboards, tracking achievement progress, powering post-game track review, displaying author profiles for curated albums, and personalising your language and game settings. We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Third-Party Services

Meloman integrates with the following third-party services:

• Telegram API - used for authentication and Mini App delivery. Subject to Telegram's Privacy Policy.
• Telegram Stars - processes in-app purchases made inside the Telegram Mini App. Payment data is handled entirely by Telegram. Subject to Telegram's Privacy Policy.
• Apple App Store - processes in-app purchases on iOS. Subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
• Google Play - processes in-app purchases on Android. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
• Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) - delivers push notifications on the mobile app. An FCM device token is registered when you grant notification permission. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
• Google AdMob - serves rewarded video ads on the mobile app. AdMob may collect device identifiers and ad interaction data as described in Google's Privacy Policy. Watching ads is always optional.
• Vercel - hosting infrastructure for web services. Subject to Vercel's Privacy Policy.

Data Retention

Your game data is retained as long as your account remains active. You may request deletion of your data by contacting us. Upon deletion, all personal data and game history will be permanently removed within 30 days.

Children's Privacy

Meloman is rated 4+ and may be used by children. We do not collect any personally identifiable information from users. On the mobile app, identification is based solely on an anonymous device UUID. On the Telegram Mini App, only the Telegram user ID is used. We do not knowingly collect names, email addresses, or any other personal data from children or adults.
